As for electric performance, we may consider the whole electric component layout and quantity. It will influence the physical configuration within the battery pack to meet required performance, which ensures safety, and optimize battery life through cell balancing.

1. Voltage
The 18650 series can increase its voltage, as typically minimal voltage is 3.7V, so it will increase 7.4V, 11.1V etc, which aims to meet the whole battery pack voltage configuration.
2. Capacity
As high capacity it may need, battery parallel configuration can last longer, while remains the same voltage. Like 2P, 2*2000mAh=4000mAh.
3. Size & Shape
The 18650 cells, in multiple strings and parallel, can be designed in a variety of arrangements. It must meet each cell capacity, voltage, internal resistance difference in a certain range.
4. Protection Circuit Board (PCM)
PCM and BMS two options. It works for short circuit protection, over charging and over discharging. The later can monitor each voltage, current, temperature of each cells.
